With a strong background in Opera and Theatre production, our team were thrilled to support the Showstoppers! Press night party at the Welsh Chapel on Shaftsbury Avenue last week.
Guests at the event included actors, theatre critics and press who gave great reviews for the improvised musical show. Having been rated an excellent 5 stars by The Telegraph and branded as a ‘must-see’ by The Stage, Showstoppers! The Musical creates its storyline by working with suggestions from the audience and gaining song inspiration from other well-known musical shows.
With prior relationships with both the Lighting Improviser of Showstoppers and with Kat Portman Smith (KPS Productions) who project managed the event our Managing Director Rob Mills jumped at the chance to support another one of their shows.
Earlier this year, KPS Productions had also produced new musical LoveBirds at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, with Rob, our MD and Lead Designer acting as Lighting Designer for the show.
LoveBirds, written by Robert J Sherman (son of the songwriting Sherman brothers whose credits include Mary Poppins, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and The Aristocrats) had a great reception at the Fringe, also receiving 5 star ratings from both The Stage and the Musical Theatre Review.
We are proud to support both of these fantastic shows and wish them the very best of luck in their future endeavours.
