Light Motif at London Fashion Week

Light Motif at London Fashion Week

London, September 2014: Event Production company Light Motif, provided lighting design for designer Faustine Steinmetz at London Fashion Week. Faustine Steinmetz previewed her SS15 collection to the fashion industry at the Institute of Contemporary Arts, London.

Having been selected as “The One to Watch” by the NEWGEN panel and style.com describing the brand as “the next big thing”, the brand is tipped for success. In 1993, the British Fashion Council created New Generation (NEWGEN), one of the worlds most internationally recognised talent identification schemes.

Faustine Steinmetz set up her label in early 2013 after acquiring her first handloom. All of Faustine’s pieces are made with her belief in craftsmanship over trend. The uniqueness of her work has led her to numerous editorial features in the likes of Vogue US, Vogue UK and Dazed and Confused to name a few.

Light Motif used lighting to accentuate and highlight the intricate the hand-woven details of the garments. The preview included spot lit models posing on turntables, structured white frames and dark contemporary music, to provide a sense of attitude and surrealism.

Rob Mills, Managing Director of Light Motif comments, “as two young brands paving the way in their respective industries, we felt it was a perfect creative collaboration. The brand is authentic, unique and lives by a good set of principles. We thoroughly enjoyed working with the team at Faustine Steinmetz and wish the fashion brand every success.”

“Working with Light Motif was an absolute pleasure. This was our first time ever organising such an event and it was extremely reassuring to have them involved. They got on with their job with minimum fuss; as the start time of our show approached it was the one thing I felt I didn’t need to worry about as they had it sorted,“- Michael Hawkins- Faustine Steinmetz.
