Operations Director

Are you looking for an exciting senior role in a fast growing, event production company?

 

LM is a full service event production company, working in a lot of London and the UK’s top corporate and private event spaces. We provide bespoke designed offerings to our high-end clients, with a fully integrated lighting, sound, AV, furniture, scenic and graphics offering.

 

We have an opportunity for an established professional to join our team at  a senior level as Operations Director. This key role will take overall strategic and day to day responsibility for the operations, logistics and equipment side of the business to aid our project managers in the delivery of events, as well as working at a strategic level to continuously improve our systems, equipment and procedures. The Operations Director will be responsible for overseeing technical plan drafting, managing and implementing the prep, de-prep & maintenance of lighting equipment video, sound, props, furniture & staging, line managing the warehouse staff, booking freelance and full-time crew against projects, & managing transport and logistics for projects.

 

You will have:

– broad experience and an in-depth understanding of the commercial and operational aspects of the event production and technical equipment rental industries

– a proven track record in the management of the operational aspects of a similar business and in the management of a team.

– possess a good working knowledge of lighting, audio, video, staging and other technical equipment

– a good knowledge and experience of warehouse management and transport management in an asset rental environment.

– excellent attention to detail and accuracy, and a commitment to helping the company to continuously improve our systems

– able to multi-task on projects and communicate capacity accurately to the team.

Financial Controller / Management Accountant

 

We have an opportunity for a fully or part qualified accountancy professional to join our team.

Responsible for:

  • Supervision of day-to-day book keeping and transaction entry by accounts assistant.
  • Preparation of period end accounts and completion of period end routines.
  • Responsibility for VAT, Payroll & Nominal Ledger.

You will have:

– Fully or Part Qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA or similar.

– Broad background and track record in the accurate operation and performance of book keeping and management accounting functions within a similar sized organisation.

– Proven commercial awareness.

Book Keeper / Administrator

 

We have an opportunity for a fully or part qualified accountancy professional to join our team.

This key full time support role involves two primary areas of activity:

• Book keeping and accountancy duties; taking responsibility for keeping financial systems and records accurately up to date.
• Administration duties; providing administrative support to the Directors, Project Management and Operations teams, as required.

 

You will have:

– “Qualified through experience” book keeper / AAT qualified, or Part Qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA accountant.

– Broad background and track record in the accurate operation and performance of book keeping and basic management accounting functions within a similar sized organisation

Warehouse Technician

Primarily working within the company’s Operations Team, this role is based at the company’s warehouse, in the preparation, servicing, testing, cleaning and packaging of the company’s equipment, as directed.

The role will also involve an element of driving (Class B) and ideally, the applicant would be over 25 years old (for vehicle insurance), with a clean current UK driving licence.

You will have:

– Good communications / interpersonal skills. Fluent speaker of English language.

– Flexible and adaptable. Able to respond to short-notice changes in working hours and schedules.

– Practical ability in the use of hand tools and test equipment.

– Electrical and electronics knowledge an advantage.

– Previous knowledge of lighting / technical equipment would be an advantage.
